Pending Legends-ASM Global combination will compete heavily with OVG, especially internationally.
Legends scoring the concessionaire contract for the Buffalo Bills’ New Highmark Stadium surprised many in the sports industry. In doing so, the company beat out Buffalo-based sports venue food and beverage services mainstay Delaware North Sportservice, which held the hometown Bills’ F&B account for three decades.
That triumph was less surprising, though, when you consider that Legends had been involved with the Bills’ new stadium project as the team’s owners’ rep from its earliest days. That’s exactly that kind of leverage Legends, majority-owned by private equity firm Sixth Street Partners, is hoping to create more of with its reported acquisition of ASM Global, the venue management giant with a 350-venue portfolio.
